It is a great honor and a huge joy for me to have been selected as the Best Male Athlete of 2025 in the senior category at the Hungarian Modern Pentathlon Association’s year-end, also season-opening gala dinner. The event took place on January 22 at the Duna Arena, where we celebrated together the most memorable moments and achievements of Hungarian pentathlon over the past year.
For me, this award is not only a reflection of the past season, but also a recognition of an entire process. The sport has undergone a significant transformation with the replacement of horse riding by obstacle course racing (OCR), which brought new challenges and a new learning process. It has been an exciting and motivating period, during which I was able to develop a lot, and I am especially pleased that I managed to adapt so quickly and effectively to the renewed format of modern pentathlon.
The European Championships in Madrid will remain particularly memorable for me: we celebrated gold medals in both the team and mixed relay events, while I finished with a silver medal in the individual competition. During the World Cup series, I also delivered consistent performances, standing on the second step of the podium twice, which reinforced my belief that the work I have put in is truly taking me in the right direction.
For me, this recognition represents both a conclusion and a new beginning: a reflection on a successful year and momentum toward future goals. I am grateful to my coaches, teammates, my family, and everyone who has contributed to this journey. The work, of course, does not stop—new goals and new challenges lie ahead, and I will continue this path more motivated than ever.
Let’s keep pushing forward! 🇭🇺
